In Celebration of

Joseph F Kaszuba

Joseph F. Kaszuba, 89, a long time resident of Jessup, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, at the NJ Veterans Home in Paramus after a courageous decade-long battle with Alzheimer’s and cancer.

Born in 1934 in Dickson City, PA, he graduated from Dickson City High School in 1953, served in the U.S. Army from 55-58, and later moved to Jessup, PA in 1966, after he met and married his lifelong love, Vera.

Joseph’s career was marked by his dedication and versatility. He embraced a variety of roles, including plumber, diner cook, casket maker, truck driver, and factory worker. His passions extended beyond work; he meticulously cared for his cars, enjoyed attending car shows, and had a deep love for skiing, polkas and playing the accordion, and making his signature mashed potatoes for dinner and pancakes every Sunday.

Joe loved life and was never without a smile unless one of his children was up to something no good which was often. He loved his wife Vera and his children dearly, and his grandchildren even more. He loved all his animals, both indoor and outdoor and took care of the squirrels and the birds with as much joy as his dogs and cats. He never passed a dog he wouldn’t pet and they loved him right back.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
